At Park City Community Church you will be with others who are seeking to deepen their relationship with God, build friendships, and renew their sense of community.
While you'll have your own unique experience, the words of poet and Nobel Prize winner Rabindranath Tagore resonate with many.
“I slept and dreamt that life was joy.
I awoke and saw that life was service,
I acted and behold, service was joy.”
Those could well be the words of Jesus, Gandhi, Mother Teresa or any other number of leaders who have transformed our world by living out the great spiritual truth - that a life worth living is found in pouring it out on behalf of others.
As Christians, we look to Jesus' ministry, life and willingness to face the cross as a picture of what a profound life of service and self-giving look like. Yet the scriptural narrative is clear - God’s trajectory is to bless the world through people just like you and me. We are the way God blesses the earth. We are the way the world discovers the love of God.
So perhaps the above poem is meant to be our own spoken words as we discover the joy that comes from serving others with generous hearts. It is a way of life that ends up blessing us all.
PCCC is a United Methodist congregation and part of the Rocky Mountain Conference of the United Methodist Church. Though part of the denomination, people come to PCCC from a variety of spiritual backgrounds.
Our denominational motto of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors" really fits us as we are a congregation of permanent residents, second home owners, seasonal visitors and vacationers who bring with them a variety of viewpoints and experiences.
What holds us together is a deep faith in Christ and a desire to make his Kingdom a reality "on earth as it is in heaven."
We invite you to check out the United Methodist web site for specific information on United Methodist theology, structure, mission, and practice.
