Meet the New Co-Pastors of Park City Community Church

Dear Friends at Park City Community Church,

 

We look forward to serving as your new pastors at PCCC!

 

We will arrive at the first of July and in the interim we want to share a little about ourselves.  

 

We are a clergy couple who have served United Methodist congregations for 23 years.

 

We were ordained in the West Michigan Conference and transferred to the tri-state Rocky Mountain Conference in 1999.

 

We met at Garrett Seminary in Evanston Illinois in 1983 when we were working on our Master of Divinity Degrees. Our journey of faith and service has taken us to serve in large downtown First churches, a university church, suburbs, a resort town and rural plains as we have served churches in Michigan, Wyoming and Colorado.  We look forward getting to know the Park City congregation and the unique community that you are.

 

We are Midwesterners, with Derek born and raised in Aurora Illinois, outside of Chicago. Joyce is from Jackson, Michigan. Our daughter, Mary Lynne is 18 and will be entering college in the fall to pursue her interests in film and drama.   We love the Great Lakes, hiking, biking, movies/theater, reading good books and Rockies baseball.  We enjoy travel as a family and Joyce has discovered interesting stories about her family with her genealogy research.

 

Spiritual formation, youth, missions, building community, and interactive worship which integrate the arts and the intellect, have all been important parts of our ministry.
