PCCC is a United Methodist congregation and part of the Mountain Sky Conference of the United Methodist Church. Though part of the UMC denomination, people come to PCCC from a variety of spiritual backgrounds.
Our denominational motto of "Open Hearts, Open Minds, and Open Doors" really fits us as we are a congregation of permanent residents, second home owners, seasonal visitors and vacationers who bring with them a variety of viewpoints, backgrounds and experiences.
What holds us together is a deep faith in Christ and a desire to make his Kingdom a reality "on earth as it is in heaven."
At Park City Community Church…
We believe that God is love, that all people are welcome and equal in the family of God and that God is for us, not against us.
We believe in Jesus Christ, the son of God, whose example of radical love we seek to follow.
We believe in the Holy Spirit as God’s constant presence in our lives and in our hearts, empowering us to do God’s work.
We believe in the Bible proclaims the truth of God’s love and grace as revealed by the life of Christ.
We believe that God calls us to actively build the kingdom of God by using our time, money and talents to serve others.
We believe in forgiveness over sin and judgment.
We believe in the power of prayer.
We believe in feeding the hungry, clothing the naked, housing the homeless, healing the sick, and mending the broken.
We believe that when you truly embrace diversity, you embrace God, that all are fully welcome
Our hearts and minds and doors are always open.
Park City Community Church was one of the first Protestant churches in the area, established by a Methodist Circuit Rider in the small mining town of Park City in 1881. The original Park City Community Church was built at the corner of Park Avenue and Fourth Street in Old Town Park City.
We now enjoy our current location with expanded facilities and beautiful views.
